Mike Pain was born in Madison, Wisconsin, but resides in and represents Norfolk, Va. He got into music because he believes it’s a universal language and an outlet to reach people and share his life. Mike Pain is the two-time award winner for Best Actor at the 5th and 6th Annual Black Men Rock Image Awards for Best Conscious Hip-Hop Artist and Best Actor of 2018. Mike Pain has been in the game since 2006. He released an album in 2007 and appeared in TV commercials to give him that household name in his state. He recently released a Hip-Hop Black History album and has introduced it to the school system as a tool for their curriculum. He has worked with Drew Sidora (from BET’s The Game), Kenny Wray, Kill Will (producer of Fire Flame with Lil Wayne), DJ K-Swiss, and Mr. LPD. He also has single hits on mix CD's such as: Playa Tight Radio Volume 3 mixed tape (hosted by Mr. LPD, stamped by DJ Drama), and Massive All-stars Presents Tax Season: The Ben Franklin Hustlers Edition by DJ K-Swiss. He feels moving people with his music and message is unique and a wonderful thing and also a blessing to be able to do.
